This was brought to my attention from this thread https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6128501
is it explicitly against the rules of HackForums in order to fake earnings and mislead buyers? Or is this activity based in a grey area.
I ask because I think this is very shady and wrong of someone with vender status and makes me more cautious to trust the vendors on this forum.

Do your research before you deal with anyone on this site. A usergroup doesn't mean anything to be honest. Some people are sketchy af, It's your responsibility to feel each Individual out before striking a deal with them. I do agree, It's a shady practice. However, A member of staff replied to that thread, So If it was blatant he probably would have been banned already.

of course, that is standard practice. at least for me personally..
I just do not think that should be allowed, lots of deals go through the marketplace everyday and although a lot of eBooks are bullshit it shouldn't be allowed to show fake earnings.
But what do I know, this isn't my website or forum and I don't make the rules.
