I stopped watching right at Negan, show got contrived and watered down.

but they pretty much blew everything in the end.

Andrew Lincoln made the show, really surprised that a main character leaves, even though it did leave a re-entry an option

Daryl is someone who many people are indifferent to.
He killed people over the course of the series who could have changed and who posed no threat to him

But even before this whole story with the Saviors and Whisperers began, Daryl was almost a stone-cold killer who humiliated everyone else who wasn't part of his people.
