I really want to watch One Piece... - Creativo - Jan 28, 2021
hey guys I got some friends that absolutely LOVE One Piece. But I cant seem to get myself to watch it, I have a bit of ADHD so its a bit hard for me to focus on a show if it doesnt interest me right away. But I love LONG shows or animes cause i can binge watch for hours.
Ive tried watching One Piece a couple times and I just get bored after 1-2 episodes, I really want to get into it cause Ive heard its really good, How long does it take for it to get interesting? How did u manage to watch a show without switching to something else cause the first episodes are boring?
Animes Ive watched and Loved:
Naruto
Dragon Ball
Hunter X hunter
Black Clover
FMA
SAO
All of those got me hooked after just a couple episodes but One piece just seems extremely childish and boring to me? Any suggestions?

Imo OP is better than Naruto and Dragon Ball if you compare.

One Piece is one of the only shows that have fillers fans look forward to and the show keeps on getting interesting. I have read the manga till the latest chapter and watched the anime till the latest episode and I havent gotten bored yet. Please watch through the first story arc to try it out.

One Piece is one of those anime with an overwhelming amount of filler and dragged-on arcs. You have to sit through the boring shit to get to the good shit. And the good shit definitely makes up for the boring parts.

Personally I’d say it gets interesting pretty damn quick, but I was also drawn into the show on the first episode.
If it doesn’t interest you in the first 15-20 episodes I’d say it’s probably not gonna get much more interesting to you. However basing it off your other interests I’d say it should suit you pretty well.

It sounds like you don't like the art style, because the show itself is interesting right away
Unlike other shonen mcs, Luffy is super-strong and super confident right in the beginning, which made me like him right away

One piece is 100000% worth it and it'll be your favourite. Watch the entire east blue saga (first 58 or so episodes) and you'll 100% be hooked. I was hooked first episode and it started getting better 10 episodes in.

for some it got interesting after ep 40-50, and one even after ep 100.
On the contrary, I think One piece is the least 'childish' anime compared to your list.
How can you call One piece childish if you watched Black Clover xD

I dont know man I really think One Piece is more Childish, Atleast the first few expisodes it kinda reminds me of the original Dragonball with all the expresions and the animation maybe im too old fo this stuff lol

Well if you count that as childish, it is childish per your definition at the beginning.
I think One Piece matures very well as the story goes on.

Ive started to watch one piece after being persuaded and nagged on for years. So far ive watched 30 episodes and my opinion is that I can see how it’s growing into something amazing. My only issue is that the episodes are EXTREMELY slow paced. And I’ve been told that the pace doesn’t increase that much later on which is a concern but we’ll see how it goes.

as someone who doesn't watch anime I would highly recommend one piece. It's slow at first but the storyline is amazing.
