Show: X Remaining Edits left for OP | Visible edit History (Amount) - Hopsin - Feb 6, 2021

Greetings,
According to; https://hackforums.net/misc.php?action=help&hid=41
Members, L33t and ub3rs have edit limits unlike vendors which is fine. So.........

What I suggest is that the OP knows/views how many "Remaining Edits" he has left for OP? (Only visible/viewable to the OP)
No, OP still won't be able to view his old thread history, just a warning/notification regarding his remaining edits.

Example;

Hopsin edited X thread > Pressed Full Edit > It shows "14 Remaining Edits Left" for this thread. (Remaining Amount must be viewable to OP only)
Maybe add this to "Quick Edit" too ?

Along with this suggestion, maybe have some kind of progression colors too (?) which would be awesome tbh. (Which I doubt will ever happen)
Like,
Green 11-15 remaining edit left
Yellow 6-10 remaining edit left
Red 0-5 remaining edits left

Cheers.

I think that's a good idea.

I think that's gonna be a lot of work when it could be easily kept track off by the OP.

Genuinely mean no offence by this, But you obviously don't know what your talking about then.

Sorry ill expand on my original post.

From reading various other suggestions quality of life changes rarely get approved if the issue doesn't affect a huge amount of users.
This issue does not, It can also be easily tracked if you already know it is a problem.

I understand they limit edit times and the ability to edit old threads/posts, but if the site wants people to contribute they need to make tools so they can.
And the ability to see edits remaining is a must after this limitation was put into place.

I didn't mean in terms of the website, I meant in terms of myself and not contributing.

It's just that if you don't contribute to the site and provide content, you can't know how needed this feature is.
Tutorials and content have been dying for years and the edit limitations only make it worse.

If you had 3 tutorials that you updated on a regular basis, you would feel the pain that are edit restrictions haha

Ohhhh i see what you mean!

Yeah i was just generalising what i'd seen in terms of QOL updates in the past, Hopefully it gets added.

I'll have Xerotic look at the code and see if it's feasible with minimal resources.

I think this is a great idea, before I upgraded to vendor I often ran out of edits sooner than expected, and having some form of visual to show how many are remaining would have been very useful.

If it can have the number of edits and the time remaining that would be even better. If I remember correctly, we can only edit posts X days old?
