Researchers unmask forum sellers - Poet - Feb 17, 2021
Someone from the forum about to be arrested. What are your thoughts?

APOMacroSploit is believed to be the work of two French-based threat actors "Apocaliptique" and "Nitrix," who are estimated to have made at least $5000 in less than two months selling the product on HackForums.net.
Further investigation by Check Point involved chasing the digital trail left by the two operators — including two League of Legends player profiles — ultimately leading the researchers to unmask the real identity of Nitrix, who revealed his actual name on Twitter when he posted a picture of a ticket he bought for a concert in December 2014.

Use hacking as a learning tool - stop doing dumb shit. I swear to god though I ain't hiding so if any feds legit just DM me with proof I'll help them in their investigation .
If I somehow go to jail for just learning for hobby purposes and security for friends and family - then you should all be scared as they would basically be saying they can pin anything on you - even discussing hypotheticals to reverse engineer/think tank ideas and methods.

30k posts - I'm sure they've looked into me but ffs I ain't doing anything wrong my dudes and if I am get some feds on HF to explain what we are accused of rather then waiting till it's too late.

This is a good point, there's nothing wrong on researching security for hobby or legit professional purposes but i think the point here was that they were selling tools that were used for criminal purposes, the articles says it was used in a chain that had hacked servers to host second stage payloads.
