on the white paper of Satoshi Nakamoto when he released bitcoin he explained that Bitcoin is a P2P as an new innovated electronic cash system. In the bitcointalk forums there were people who rewarded with (SATOSHIS) for an thread, or just donating an random person some money , cuz why not?
Nowadays, it's impossible to send (SATOSHIS) without paying ridiculous fees , slow confirmations causing congestion on the newtork , even with the Ethereum network the fees are absolutely crazy.
Why BCH?
- Stable and strong community
- Same 21 MILLION LIMIT COINS
- Real fork of the original BTC (Exactly same as bitcoin, but IMPROVED)
- IMPROVED: Transactions at no fees or maximum $0.50 cents / Confirmation time between 2 to 5 minutes.
- Supported by most exchangers
- The price is $700 and it's on top #10 currently. LAST ATH was $3300+

Bitcoin has became more an "asset of storage value" , "investment" than a P2P Electronic cash system. The fees we need to pay to get our transaction in the next bitcoin block are more than what we pay with PayPal , there are transactions sitting and waiting for even days , weeks before getting reversed. This was not Satoshi's vision and original idea.
Why not BCH?

Bitcoin is headed to be the DIGITAL GOLD, precious gold. And the price will reach much higher prices of what we are seeing now, (250k , 500k , 1M in long term.)
But bitcoin as payment method as failed , soon or later the prices will go more up, and more up, we will need to pay hundreds of dollars to get the miners confirm our transaction, this is why BCH was created, the best performing blockchain network is the Bitcoin Cash.

Wasn't BCH created as a fork after a crazy hack to rollback the bitcoin chain? I think there's not much future there.

BCH was created as an solution to the BTC network congestion issues, nothing related with a hack.
