Japan never stops to amuse me... - severos - Mar 3, 2021 So... I've been here for a bit more than 2 years, and every time I see something amusing I'm like "yep, now I've seen it all"... but it's never the end. Today I found this news article: https://japantoday.com/category/entertainment/through-the-mailbox-slot-japanese-theatre-offers-new-viewing-experience? What do you guys think? Personally I'll +5 them for innovation... but -1 for usability and -3 for neck/back pain RE: Japan never stops to amuse me... - іnxy - Mar 3, 2021 Interesting. Gotta say this is interesting. RE: Japan never stops to amuse me... - Doomslayer - Mar 3, 2021 they always seem to have the weirdest over the top shit for very niche and specific things. Yeah... don't even wanna get started with all the weird things I see in Akihabara 🤣 Maybe I should go there, take pics, and share with you all some day. That's an interesting concept, and it actually may make theater viewings more immersive. When I was a squad leader, I would always have to remind my boots about watching out for "tunnel vision", which is when you lose sight of your peripheral vision. In combat, it can get you killed, but in this scenario, I do believe that it could have a great effect on your viewing experience. With all that being said, there's no way I could sit on a stool, to watch a performance lol. Where are you from originally if you don't mind me asking? I've traveled a lot, but I've always wanted to visit Japan as I love the culture/country as a whole. I was wondering if you had any difficulties adapting to living in a new country? Well, if you come to Japan we can hang out and then I'll tell you🐱👤 I'm still having difficulties adapting actually, Japanese people are so introverts and closed, super hard to have real friends. Getting a GF is also much harder, specially if you're thinking of normal relation not a "gaijin hunter", extra difficulty if you're not white USA/EU citizen... pretty much if you're not their standard white person they'll be judging silently. There are some chill people, just very few. And learning the polite language for work is a trip to hell back and forth😵 RE: Japan never stops to amuse me... - Verethragna - Mar 4, 2021 (Mar 4, 2021 03:00 PM)severos Wrote: Well, if you come to Japan we can hang out and then I'll tell you🐱👤 Lol sounds good. Ooo ok, that does make sense. A few friends I have that are black deployed to Okinawa and loved it, but they said it's a tourist area tho, so that's not the usual experience. I can imagine dating outsiders could be considered taboo. Hmm, definitely a lot to think about. Thanks for not sugar coating =D RE: Japan never stops to amuse me... - severos - Mar 4, 2021 (Mar 4, 2021 03:15 PM)Verethragna Wrote: Lol sounds good. Ooo ok, that does make sense. Thanks for not sugar coating =D It depends on the area a lot, Okinawa has lots of US people, and probably Japanese people there aren't as closed as in Tokyo. Osaka/Kyoto are more open, Nagoya was friendly but I didn't live there only stayed for couple days. Some strict families wouldn't approve their daughter dating a foreigner (but approve a son dating one). Struggling to find my next gf atm. RE: Japan never stops to amuse me... - webdev77 - Mar 4, 2021 If you want something truly astounding, just look up odd Japanese game shows. There are some truly bizarre and sometimes impressive creations. One show recommended by a friend is like this: a guy starts singing karaoke while a girl is giving him handjob/blowjob and judges rate his singing.... at his finale 🤣 So kinda you're prostituting your self on TV for an ejaculation. Oh okay, that's good to know. I for sure want to visit Osaka and Kyoto (of course because of anime 🤣), so it's good to know that they aren't as bad. I can definitely believe that. I'm a nonwhite American and I've faced "strict families" my whole life lol. I wish you luck bud, I can imagine it must be a struggle, but given the culture, I believe that once you do find love it'll be true and powerful =D RE: Japan never stops to amuse me... - severos - Mar 4, 2021 (Mar 4, 2021 03:30 PM)Verethragna Wrote: Oh okay, that's good to know. Glad to see they are trying to get people back into the theater though! Clear walls? that's just solving the problem in a normal human way, we gotta stand out and weird ways here🤣 RE: Japan never stops to amuse me... - Verethragna - Mar 4, 2021 (Mar 4, 2021 03:35 PM)severos Wrote: Thanks man, and yeah the only problem is how to know you've found it, I thought I did with my ex (Japanese 2 years older, but looks like a freshman student, super short) but then got cheated on🙃 Damn bro, I'm sorry that happened. That makes sense because I have a few Japanese friends that migrated when they young and they hard the worst lol. At first, they rarely smiled or talked, but after they warmed up... still not much 🤣 It took a couple of years for us to get really close. I never connected it to their culture 🤦♂️ Speaking of aren't you tired lol? I just imagine it's really late over there. |
