Best Beginning Game Engine/Game Engine Question - Thoth - Mar 12, 2021
Hey Hackforums, have a quick question for you all. I'm about to graduate with my Bachelor's in Information Tech. with concentration on game programming/creation, and was wondering what you guys thought the best game engine to get started with would be? I've used UE4 for the entirety of my time as a game programmer, and have enjoyed my experience completely. But at the same time, I am curious as to if there are stronger or better game engine out there besides UE4. If UE4 is suggested, then are there any alternate plugins,addons,software/programs that I need to use/install to make the most of UE4? I'd really appreciate any and all tips, advice, suggestions, etc. Thanks for your time, and have a great one! ✌
TLDR; Should I use UE4 or is there a better engine? If UE4 is suggested, any additions plugins/addons/software I should be using alongside UE4?
