I've been curious.
Do Canadian Best Buy gift cards work for Americans?
Also, I'd like to know which gift card (that can be purchased in Canada)
is most wanted by Americans.
I'm looking to purchase something from someone here on HF although I would like to use gift cards.
Which are best? Amazon? Pre-paid Vanilla mastercards?
Advice would be nice.

Some do. Most don't.
I can't use Amazon.ca gift cards on Amazon.com (not cross compatible) BUT, I can use a Canadian prepaid vanilla on amazon.com. We have a very limited selection of gift cards generally though, I cant think of any others that are cross compatible

You mean to tell me if I purchase a canadian prepaid mastercard, it would work on amazon.com?
Therefore prepaid vanilla cards would be valuable.

Yeah for sure. You can spend cards denominated in a CAD currency (or almost any currency really) on amazon.com, not just USD-based cards.
