170 Sat/B $10 and 2 hours later.... - Omniscient - Apr 20, 2021
Fugg you Bitcoin.
This is nuts. Now there is 185,000 transactions backed up in the Bitcoin mempool. I was forced to do a transaction with Bitcoin today. I paid a $10 fee at 170 sat/b and 2 hours later it's still not confirmed. This is crazy.

Not even the worse part these past few weeks I have been paying $20-40 on fees just to move a few hundreds around here and there.

Unreal. Wait 2 hours and within 5 mins of making thread it gets confirmed. Still I was expecting a 20-30 min confirm for 170 sat/b.

It's why I've been dealing in LTC lately. BTC has gotten too far out of control for practical use.

ETH could go to the moon if it didn't have these same problems I swear.
Bitcoin is the entry to crypto and ETH could be the shining hero once newbs go through the process of starting to understand how it all works.

My ETH gets confirmed instantly but it costs $10 too.

Yeah it’s ridiculous, I ended up just exchanging my BTC for BCH yesterday when I purchased the awards. I’m still waiting for a BTC transaction from 4-5 hours ago.

I haven't used BTC in months, I am using mainly Litecoin, and BCH (although the BCH block times do piss me off + its somewhat still pronte to attacks), so mainly Litecoin

I paid $25 in fees to get my BTC out of crypto.com app. It's ridiculous.

I don't agree. At least in the near term. If you're not gonna use BTC then it's likely just about any ALT will do which includes Litecoin which greatly reduces fees and transaction times are quick as fugg.
Ethereum is a Smart Contract system. It's not a Store of Value like Bitcoin. Nor is it a useful crypto currency like BCH or Litecoin.
The answer to all this imho is Litecoin. Been working great and it's the clear choice of HF members as their preferred alt outside BTC and ETH.
