A recommendation to what I consider the best PHP routing library. - BuyingSpade - Jun 25, 2021

First of all

I would like to apologise for my many posts around this sub-forum in the past 24 hours. I realized how inactive this sub was and it made me sad as I do consider PHP to major within web development - including the creation of web applications.

That being said - let's get to it

I would like to present what I consider as the greatest PHP Router: phprouter.com

Using a router provides decoupling, validation, maintainability and flexability to your PHP. If you need further explanation on the reasoning read the following: PHP Routing

If a mod could delete my last thread that would be appreciated - Good friday to everybody.

This actually looks good. Clean and compact. I am used to use way more complex routing libraries, however this one seems to be a great and more light weight version. I bookmarked this, and will probably test/use it in smaller upcoming projects.

Is this a shameless plug thread? Where's the composer file? Where's the automated testing?

Would prefer Symfony and I don't like the black magic Laravel is doing under the hood. To each of his own but that's my opinon.

Looks pretty good, but I'm not sure why you've decided that it needs to be <1Kb. Doesn't really matter with PHP now that we have autoloading and opcache.

That being said. I don't recommend anyone use this. Use an up-to-date framework instead.

^This.

- Add automated test, with a CI on your repository would be even better.
- declare strict_types
- Make it a package and publish it on packagist.

Thank you for the contribution thought, great to see some activity on here :yeye:

I'm not even sure the intended version his library is suppose to run. 🙃
