Add PGP-Key in Profile - Facewipe - Jul 6, 2021
Hello everybody,
I suggest you to add the possibility to add a PGP-Key in the profile.

It's just not user-friendly enough. I used PGP but stopped because it was more annoying than anything else.
I've thought of integration ideas including PGP with PMs or Convo. Just don't believe it would be widely used here.
I do suggest you add it to your Bio Box though.

What about in the "hacker tools" tab? could be useful in the trust scan too with a lot of people impersonating v3ndors.

Actually not a bad idea, however, I feel like most users have no clue how PGP works anyways and they'll still get scammed.

If someone is too fucking stupid to check for an impersonator Discord account with Trust Scan or a site contact like Convo then what makes you think they are smart enough to use PGP?

I bet you use Discord for deals. That's so insecure. Why wouldn't members use Convo or even someting like Keybase? They use Discord because it's for MORONS.
PGP won't stop scammers. Scammers get stupid people.

Real words are true. People don't confirm discord, let alone confirm pgp ownership and signatures.
I had made a suggestion a few years ago to add PGP as a form of 2FA but again most people would probably find it too hard.
Easy marks are always the scammers first target, most Easy marks won't be using pgp just like idiots who get scammed on discord don't make a contract on HF first

"i didn't think i needed to verify the PGP key of this guy who's claiming to be this user with 2,000 b-rating. i took his word for it and sent $2,000 to him before verifying anything"
