This thing looks super cool, I want a new console and I think the portable idea sounds dope actually. I just hope it doesn't flop like the "steam machine" or whatever the hell it was called.

Yeah it does seem quite cool, I have a gaming PC though also, I don't think i'd be dropping money on it to play games I can just play on PC.

Yeah it all depends on your situation of your daily life I think. I also have a gaming pc but as I got older I'm more of a casual gamer now.. maybe few hours a day.
Would be cool to just bring the portable thing with me as I'm usually out and hop on a game for a few hours and put it away.

OR I'm thinking of getting a nintendo switch, do you have one? I feel like it would be fun to try out nintendo games and stuff. I have not played a nintendo game since the original wii, I loved games like mario kart super fun!

Nah the only console I own now is a PS4, I used to have a Wii also, probably one of the best consoles next to the PS2 I ever owned. I've had a shot of a switch and it actually was quite fun, I'd say it's worth getting 😁

Oh sweet. Yeah what I loved about the Wii is that is was like a great console to have some buddies come over and all play games together such a fun time. I wish they'd make a new Wii, local multiplayer just isn't the same on any other console imo.

It's an interesting idea but I don't think handheld game systems are the thing anymore. It's getting a lot of attention but I don't expect it to become that popular.
Can you run mods on them? That's the main reason to play on a PC instead of Console. Playstation for instance already has a way to play handheld, through your phone itself.

Anyone placing orders for a piece of tech that isn't even out yet is, at best, fucking stupid. Steam has a wonderful track record of failed hardware products with horrible compatible and maintainability. The fact that anyone just blindly believes the Steam Deck would be different is taking ignorance to a new level.
