List of non-limited RTX gpus - Simplicity! - Jul 19, 2021

Does anyone have a list of RTX models that are not mining(mh/s) limited?

Newly manufactured 3080(Ti), 3070, 3060(Ti) have limits.

Not limited should be any of the 20 series as well as 3090, 3050(Ti). Technically certain 3080, 3070, and 3060 may not have the limiter. (Not 100%, they introduced it around Feb this year)

Yeah, I'm aware of the new 'partition' having limiters, however there doesn't seem to be a reliable way of differentiating between a LHR (limiter) 3060 and a non-LHR one (for example).

More or less there is really no way I would just avoid it. Looks like they limited the 3060 from the get-go.

There is no way to easily differentiate by design. It makes it more effective of a limiter. Only way to know is to actually run a mining script and see what performance you get.

3060 for sure has the limiter, and also I heard all the recently manufactured 3070, 3080, and 3090, so basically all of the 30 series (but I cant confirm 100%)

The important question is is it a hardware limiter or just a software that can be bypassed?

Seems to be software, despite everyone's claim of oh easy to bypass there has been none from what I've seen.

I still have a RTX 3080 that hashes 100 Mh/s so I assume it's the software.

They said they wouldnt limit previously sold gpus, only the newly manufactured ones.

The 3060 and 3060 Ti are software limited, you can bypass those (Unless its a recently manufactured 3060)
I heard all the recently manufactured 30 series are hardware limited, but cant confirm.

Yeah I think when the news hit that Nvidia "accidentally leaked" (or whatever really happened) an unlocked driver update, it was really soon after the 3060's release. So you might be able to install that driver on the earlier cards, or odds are, they're already installed depending on who you buy it from. I wonder if they charge more for em.

I just wish I could buy a reasonably priced 3080 full stop. Been trying since December.. :(

RE: List of non-limited RTX gpus - shreder - Jul 24, 2021

Even 10 series cards are at an insane price lmfao! 1060 are going for $300 and 1070s are going $400
