New car seized and impounded for a parking ticket.. - XBT4R - Jul 20, 2021
What a shitty start to the day, my partner and I were expecting to go hospital today for her to give birth (39 weeks today) and walking out to the road I notice the car has disappeared. Always had frightening dreams of this happening and straight away I had a feeling it got stolen. London is known for crimes and I always keep my keys safe in a faraday box but since I was at my partners I didn’t have it. Turns out the local council left a ticket on my car which I didn’t return to within 30 MINUTES. I ended up having to pay £265 GBP ~ $361 USD to recover my new car.
TLDR - my car got seized for a parking ticket where I had only parked for the last 12 hours.

If you read the post you would see that my partner is 9 months pregnant and she was due to give birth today. She can’t walk and is having contractions..

All hospitals have wheelchairs nearby the entrance. You think you're the only person coming there for an emergency?

Hahah lol even I’m not that pissed, only posted to show how shitty London is. It wasn’t blocking anyone’s drive except my partners so I just found it ridiculous.

Be thankful that it wasn't torn up. Sometimes when they do these tow away they completely fuck your car up. I seen one get towed out of a parking garage once, and they just ripped the roof rack off this hummer. I WOULD FLIP!

Getting a ticket sucks, I heard in some places you can not pay your ticket if the officer than issued it doesn't show up to court.
