Isolating steam accounts, avoiding valves' chainbans? - bluemoongmod - Aug 6, 2021 Any seasoned cheat developer/cheater/griefer with a passion for being a disruptive influence in online games on steam knows that Valve's "community" bans tend to follow you across accounts. I've experimented with various methods of isolating accounts, on windows and linux and so far I am not really sure what to go with. It's hard to know what works due to how unpredictable/irrational these bans can be. I've heard of serial tf2/cs:go cheaters having setups for isolating steam, especially on Linux due to how intrusive steam or its games can be and because of unfixed exploits I won't mention here. I just want to avoid Valve's chainbans. Can someone suggest an isolation setup? what works? I hope htis is the right section. I am just loosely defining groups of people who might be subject to Valves' scrutiny. I have seen this happen to all manner of cheaters, griefers, hobbyist devs who like to grief with cheats.. etc |
