***UPDATE FROM OLD THREAD*** New job with recently earned certificate! *AMA?* - Overdose - Oct 13, 2021
HF!!!! Good to be back, hope everyone is doing well.
Just wanted to give an update on my life since my past thread on getting back into offensive security.
I ended up getting a job offer months after my certification as help desk for a company!
although this is no where close to where I want to be, it's a start, and that is the hardest part.
Would love to assist anyone in any way I'm able in terms of answering questions having to do with the job search, as well as the actual difficulty of the job...or any other generic questions 😎
I will say my experience way back in the days on HF specifically, gave me understanding on a lot of IOT devices. Forever will be thankful and will give back at every opportunity i'm presented!

Sounds great, congrats on your success, how long did it take to complete the certificate?
Been thinking of going back to school too, not sure if I can get in though.

With a little previous knowledge it took me a total of about 3-4 months! Anyone can sign up for it and I would definitely recommend doing so if you're able :)
it's a little pricey but it's worth it in the long run 🙂

You should look at a few startups, there are quite a few who are doing this.
