Frickin' blew the motor. - SIM-353284 - Oct 30, 2021 I purchased a used car a few months ago, and installed a Pivot Mega Raizon, all went good until last week when I left it lying for a few days It had trouble starting, I then proceeded to remove the Pivot and the motor wont start now or crank, I replaced the battery and cleaned the terminals but still no crank. I hear a clicking noise from the relay so that shall be the next thing to replace before looking at a new starter. Any thoughts on why this would happend, i like to think I am good working on the motor, even bought the book for it. 🙄 RE: Frickin' blew the motor. - NurSpec - Oct 30, 2021 What car have you got? I wouldn't trust one of those things either imo. RE: Frickin' blew the motor. - Godemis - Dec 27, 2021 Start your diagnosis at the fuel pump if the battery is active and giving standard 12v then it should prime pump try turning key a few times into 2nd ignition mode before initial start of the car see if you can hear the fuel pump coming on it should sound like whirring sound. Then crank the car and if it fails to even turn and you hear just clicking then find the starter where its located on your vehicle if its in reach hit the starter motor with a metal rod or an object (start clutches tend to seize sometimes if not used). If this still has not started your vehicle try changing the starter, if its a rough start with engine turning off midst crank then your fuel injectors are plugged or fuel pressure regulator is not sending enough fuel to keep up the combustion rate. also try getting one of those ohm meters and test the AC voltage from your alternator to see if your battery is being charged while its running. |
