Pretty stupid gimmick, but maybe I just don't like trendy traditions, if you wanna stop beating your meat, get some self-control and stop. What happens after the month of November? Do you go back to your old ways till next year? Beating your meat isn't even a big deal as long as you don't NEED to do it every day, could just be me, but I find myself being kept busy with so much shit to do throughout the day, I rarely think about it, I'd say a larger issue is porn and its desensitization of sex, and people being dopamine addicts.
I didn't realize that it also includes sex, and is really No Nut, I figured it was similar to the goal of NoFap

Porn can be a problem, but there's nothing wrong with sex or jerking off, so long as it isn't compulsive (indeed, for men, it's healthy). That said, if you have a gf/wife, denying her some nookie every now and again can add spice to a relationship, women appreciate that sort of intrigue - saying "Ok, no sex for a month", and she'll probably want to start discussing rules and such, which builds anticipation etc (or she might just shrug and say "Great, pass the Doritos").
