I remembered a few years ago I got a laptop deal on BF with a 50% discount which seemed too good to be true...

Black Friday tech tends to be cheap garbage no wanted to buy originally, specifically those sub $300 TVs that may be 50 in + but trash panels. It's okay those clowns will only go next BF to replace the last shit tier TV for another larger shit tier panel TV.

Few years ago i grabbed a dell ultrasharp for $160, retail was around $350 at the time. should have bought a few more.

Black Friday is just over advertised bull shit. (At least in my country).
Most deals are items that cost the same as 2 months ago. And if you are lucky to find a good deal, you only save like 10%.

Yes I went down to the Seattle premium outlet mall during black Friday, I got a under armor coat for 20 usd and a 300 dollar watch for 70 usd. This was about 2 years pre covid.

To be honest I never had a good deal on Black Friday but last year before Black Friday I succeeded to get a laptop for a very good deal, like -40%.
It was a steal still to this day.
