When dogs are in the presence of this robot, the dogs become violent and enraged.
They snarl and gnash their teeth!

Also, maybe the dog hears things from the robot we can't hear.
I can imagine some of those many mechanisms moving in that robot making some sorts of high pitch noise.

In the original "terminator" movie, dogs would violently bark at terminator robots that were trying to disguise themselves as humans.
Dogs react the same way to ghosts.

True, dogs can even smell cancer. (I'm not even kidding, dogs are able to smell disease)

a bit offtop, but robot != AI. im so curious about the kind of AI we see in movies, inserted into a humanoid robot like the one in this thread
unfortunately the only thing our AI can do is behave in certain manner after it 'learns' it after a thousand of attempts of reaching a goal specified by user.
which means current AI can only find the best way to achieve some simple result that user wanted it to.
which to be honest, doesnt sound like AI at all.
it does not 'think' it is not 'intelligent' nor automatic. its heavily dependable on user and wont learn on its own
that said i think complete AI humanoid robot would be extremaly awkward, dangerous, lack moral code, extremally intelligent and with multithreaded cpu/brain.
