Does anyone use the Digital Voice Decoder, DSD?
Can you help me decrypt Moto Basic Privacy?
I have the keys, users use predefined keys between 1-255. Only one key can be used at any time, basically the key, once selected from the predefined list is the one used forever.
The link below includes a RAW audio file of Digital Speech using MotoBP. The key number from the predefined list is 70, (ED 4A, (ED0AED4AED4A 1)) XOR’d with F8 01 A9 9F 8C E0.
DMR voice superframes consist of six subframes, named A through F. Each subframe holds three 20 millisecond voice frames.
DSD+ repeatedly displays VOICE/VC2/VC3/VC4/VC5/VC6, those would be the six subframes.
AMBE voice frames contain two Golay codewords; each codeword supports the correction of three bit errors. The addition of a parity bit to the first codeword supports the detection, but not correction, of a fourth bit error….
I need help knowing really what an XOR is and help to add a few codewords in the mix. Once that’s done, Voila, MotoBP is cracked.
