Who do you guys think is the GOAT between the two of them. Personally I favor CR7 and acknowledge that I am very biased. However I've recently started to get over my complete dislike of Messi and began to realize that he truly is as good and maybe better. Ultimately, I think CR7 takes the crown becuase he is the most complete player (class with both feet, dominant in the air, dribbling, physical) and because of something Pep Guardiola said when Aguero retired. Pep was essentially honoring Aguero as on of the Argentinian greats up there with Messi and Maradona saying:
"Messi did it in la liga, Maradona did it in Serie A, and Aguero did it in the premier league."
No lies told by Pep but I realized that only one person in history has done it in all 3: Ronaldo

For me is Ronaldo.
He has played for several big clubs and won a lot of titles. Of course this was because of the hard work he put in. He is good for a role model of modern athlete and motivation for the team too.

If you compare their skills, it is very similar (CR7 slightly higher skilled) and both are eternal legends. But Ronaldo is just on another level not only because of his skills but also because hes just a really likable guy and has done alot like for charities and helping people out. Remember the time he removed the coca cola bottle and caused cola stocks to crash slightly? Lool the guy is honest and has a great character, its why he has a much bigger fanbase than Messi. There are many athletes who even look up to Ronaldo from many different sports like Khabib.
Unfortunately I don't think we will ever get a guy like Ronaldo in this sport ever again, and ofcourse he is the ultimate GOAT

Not only has Messi had an big impact on football he also played with one of the greatest footballer (Ronaldinho).
I don't mind players transfering around, but Messi played for Barca since 2003 and was around 15 then.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo, was 18 when he was signed at Sporting CP.
While Messi only played for Barca and currently for PSG, Ronaldo has played for Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus. This for me isn't good, either he doesn't fit the team or he is just not performing well, there is no reason for a good player to transfer around that much.
One thing is for sure, both Messi and Ronaldo laid the bar for the best footballer which nobody could top.
Personally liked Messi more.
Nowadays, I don't watch football anymore. tbh, it's boring now.

Bro CR7 has proved himself he is the better player. You see him going on any club and being the top scorer. Messi goes to another club and can't score a goal for 5 games.
The whole Barca team played for Messi when he was there, that's why his performance is good.
Cristiano puts really hard work and he is the goat for sure.

Ronaldo has proven time and time again that he's just the best athlete in the world. Messi is a technical genius. They're both good in their own regards, but I think both will go down in history as the greatest to ever play.

For me CR7 as he is more of a role model. He's a embodyment of when you are dedicated to something and work hard, you can achieve it.

My vote goes for Cristiano Ronaldo. I know Messi is also good, but in my honest opinion Ronaldo had to work much more to reach the top, on the other hand Messi grow up with a talent for football so he didn't need to work that much as Ronaldo. Also recently Messi is getting carried by FIFA because he's on PSG.

Not even a contest in my opinion. One is a great athlete and a prolific goal scorer. While the other is everything the other one is and a genius as well. Lionel Messi wins this contest for me

They're both pretty good.
It used to be Pele vs Maradona. It's difficult to compare different players because they'll have different roles within the team, for example, you might say that Bobby Moore is the greatest player ever, because of how good he made his team. Or Iniesta, or Ferenc Puskas, Lev Yashin, take your pick really.
