Well, I have watched all of The Matrix movies and found them quite amusing and interesting. I liked their subtle dives in philosophy and hidden political meanings
Yesterday I went to the cinema to watch the latest iteration, didn't watch any trailer and had 0 expecations.
I have mixed feelings, it tried to be it's own thing or something seperate? The whole time I felt like watching a parody of the first film.

It's available on HBO Go, so there's a good quality available to download.

I've seen a lot of people hating on it because it's a sequel to the previous Matrix films and not turning out how they wanted it to. You know, the typical attitude from fans when there is a sequel after a while or something is based on a book.
It was good but personally it wasn't as good as the first ones. Something was off and it a bit more lore dumping than usual. At the core it was fun just needed a few adjustments.

The Matrix Resurrections was crap, plain and simple. Instead of them skipping the film altogether they chose to make a woke film that was more product placement for Warner Brothers and the nostalgia of the first film (including remaking parts of the first film shot to shot) instead of making a continuation film. The new Smith sucks. The new old Neo sucks. They made Neo pretty much a Karen and made Trinity a Chad, if that makes sense. Laurence Fishburne isn't Morpheus, and the new guy is Morpheus in the Shell. We won't even go into how they brought back MINOR characters in major roles (like Niobie) who were terrible, added no context to the film, and gave no closure to what really happened after the end of the third film.
Skip it. Just do yourself a favor and skip it.
