PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - UnoOne - Jan 7, 2022 "..PayPal Holdings Inc. is exploring the launch of its own stablecoin as part of its cryptocurrency push, according to the company, which confirmed the development after evidence of the move was discovered inside its iPhone app https://news.bloomberglaw.com/banking-law/paypal-is-exploring-launch-of-own-stablecoin-in-crypto-push RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - ✔ Soufian ✔ - Jan 7, 2022 I can't and will never take PayPal serious with Crypto lol Bunch of idiots running a company combined with ridiculous fees and every action taken is mostly in favor of the buyer and not seller. RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - LeadPal - Jan 8, 2022 While I'm sick and tired of PayPal I'm glad to see this giving crypto more exposure that's good RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - Fortunate - Jan 8, 2022 Like many said I can't take Paypal seriously with their cryptocurrency. I'm very glad they give cryptocurrency a chance, let's just hope it all goes to plan. Could be a huge success. RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - Itachi Uchiha - Jan 8, 2022 I would never use PayPal for crypto. The amount of PayPal’s I’ve had closed for no reason, I could never justify launching such an awful platform again. RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - Eran - Jan 8, 2022 I would never be able to take something like that seriously, PayPal has so many flaws and is run by idiots, so much money and time wasted with them. RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - shreder - Jan 8, 2022 It wont be many of us using it anyways it will be your normies who dont know much but want to get in without creating new accs and joining the actual crypto space. RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - Ser Jorah - Jan 8, 2022 Knowing who is the founder and papa of PP company I wouldn't be suprised they start taking SHIBA SAITAMA and DOGE as they preferred currencies haha I don't know why but PayPal wants to crush the inflation rush this year with printing money press bureau machine. RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - Omniscient - Jan 8, 2022 They already run a stablecoin. It's centralized. Basically if you deposit $100 from your bank account you have $100 in Paypal stablecoin. They think people are stupid (and they are). By calling the Paypal accounts Blockchain Stablecoins they think they're crypto. What a ridiculous assertion. Let them do it. Don't matter one bit to either crypto or Paypals reputation as the ass-fuck-tards of payment processors. Used to do currency exchanges and if one bastard puts something they don't like in a transaction note you're screwed. RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - NZT - Jan 9, 2022 $PYPL (or any other "traditional" finance institution) launching a stablecoin actually would be quite a good thing in the scenario that Tether (or any other dubiously run stablecoins) fail (or turn out not to have the appropriate reserves). Mitigates the systemic risk. RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - Frost Crypt - Jan 9, 2022 i can already imagine being able to chargeback on their crypto payment RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - Omniscient - Jan 10, 2022 https://www.engadget.com/paypal-confirms-stablecoin-110106632.html That's an Engadget article about it. For anyone that's interested. Heheh..basically no one here. RE: PayPal Is Exploring Launch of Own Stablecoin - UnoOne - Jan 10, 2022 Just like everyone here..I hate paypal and at any time I maintain less than $XX balance in my account ..I use paypal only to pay merchants and not to receive payments Paypal may be evil, but paypal stable coin may be good for crypto ecosystem if it traded on exchanged just like USDC or USDT ..cos it mitigates the risk of holding stable coins like USDT which are not audited or the proof of backed funds are unknown .They can go bust any day.But if a stable coin is from a regulated entity atleast their some kind of insurance for holders Paypal stable coin may be also help existing stores and merchants to accept crypto with just a click with no risk of price fluctuation or bothering to understand about blockchain ,cryptos or integration For consumers: it will be easy to exchange their crypto to stable coin and use at merchants who accept paypal Not advocating for paypal ,but it is win -win ,as more people will be using/embracing crypto |
