There's an endless list of Amazon tools that you can use on AWS. The most famous one is EC2 instances where you can create VPS (Virtual Private Servers) for hosting, process automation and even cloud mining (Check my thread here: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6191346). If you know what you're doing, it should be pretty easy to make money from these $1k accounts.

He's selling credits to AWS which stands for Amazon Web Services. Simple told it's a datacenter which sells access to various difference services such as Virtual Private Server, computing resources and so on. Yes it's owned by Amazon, which also have a Marketplace that is reselling everyday items. Credits and "Gift Cards" are nothing the same, as they're targeted to different marketplaces.
AWS is basically the nerds playground and Amazon Marketplace is basically the household marketplace.
