Paste.is | An Encrypted Paste Service for the Masses - SIM-5033784 - Feb 2, 2022

I've been working on a neat little project which I thought people here might like. It's an Encrypted Paste Service (similar to Pastebin) that allows you to upload your text in an easy and secure manner. This is a very early beta so there may be a few bugs although I think you'll find it useful.

How It Works

  • Type your Paste content into the Text Form

  • The submit button runs JavaScript in your Web Browser which encrypts the text and creates a secure URL to retrieve the contents.

  • The secret is the characters behind the # symbol. Unlike characters behind a ? symbol they are not sent to the server. When you load a Paste JavaScript retrieves the characters and uses it like a password.

it would be better if the URL was somehow made shorter, it just looks really dirty other than that its fine.

An interesting project, now you just need to take care of the advertisement and check if the page will be occupied. And then you can only freely analyze the uploaded pastes😜

This is actually pretty cool. Awesome domain too. I think from a design standpoint, it would be beneficial if the user did not have to scroll down to use the service. Maybe you could make remove the icon or move the nav links to the footer? I played around with removing the icon and it actually makes the site look pretty clean.

Tested it out a little for you. It all seems to be in order so far. I also like that its simple.

Syntax highlighting isn't working for me though, maybe i'm missing something. I'm on the latest version of chrome.
