HackForums.net flagged as abuse by AV - SIM-5033784 - Feb 14, 2022

I use a Raspberry Pi running the Software Pi-hole to run network level ad blocking as well as have a few lists installed to block known malware and phishing websites. HackForums.net got listed in the Abuse Domains list (Described as: "Lists of sites created to deceive")(https://github.com/blocklistproject/Lists - https://blocklistproject.github.io/Lists/abuse.txt). It's not another Malwarebytes per say (re: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6012062) but they are technically misclassifying HackForums as an abusive domain. Is this something we here would want to ask the vendor to change? Pi-hole is technically AV but this list isn't added by default. Any thoughts would be cool to hear.

Comment for support of removal.

I'm curious to know when it was added to that list? Damn history page is touch to search on Github.

GitHub won't index files above a certain size. Unfortunately these text files are huge. GitHub is written in Ruby (presumably Ruby on Rails) so performance of their API isn't exactly great and limiting the scope of features is necessary. You might be able to do that time of sorting locally. I opened up the repo in GitHub Codespaces and the in-browser VS Code kept crashing :|

It was added as part of: https://github.com/blocklistproject/Lists/commit/4d5f5355bc237cbf729ef7a664fb195472e3db0c

It does not exist in prior commits to abuse.txt - for example: https://github.com/blocklistproject/Lists/commit/92dafc279468fdfa1fe5cf86f3c5293329a4cd69
