Combi's HF Testimonial - Online Sir - Apr 14, 2022
Hi HF, Combi Here.
I've been around HF since 2010 (that's aprox 11+ years and going strong). I have seen the forum develop from a simple MyBB website to an amazing forum community content/educational filled. When I orginally came to HF, all I knew was a bit of web development and design and nothing else. Please read the rest to see how HF has development me in my professional working life.
I would like to give a huge shoutout to HF for teaching me crypto and getting me crypto. Years ago, I was doing web development services and helping users on HF out with BTC as a payment. At that time, all I use to do with the BTC was buy steam games and other things (yes, you dont want to see how much I paid for CSGO to the current BTC market). However, when I was using/trading BTC back in the day on HF, it was actively trading at $350 to $500. After a long sabbatical from HF while studying, I came back to my Bitcoin wallet as was able to buy a car and put a down payment on my own house. And yes, if I wasn't on HF, I wouldn't be receiving BTC or know what BTC was as a point of payment.
HackForums was also my pathway to getting my Certified Ethical Hacking and CISSP certification which gives me a nice side hustle IRL and online. I would have never done a $3500 USD certification if it wasn't for HF which profit over that certification is huge! It also helped me getting to a job 5 years ago which is paying me lovely.
HF has always been my place to go for any information or educational questions I needed in the past. I have learned so much things from HF members and I could definitely say, HF is the main reason for my professional development at work, online and everywhere else. I have met some amazing people on HF from 10 years ago to who I still speak actively to this day. For this HF - I will be always grateful.
In summary, I came on HF with little to no knowledge (a teenager) and now I'm a web developer and security professional. And as cheesey as it sounds, if I didn't stumble on HF, I would of studied something I didn't enjoy, worked somewhere I didn't enjoy and would have probably been paid more then 40% less then what I am on.
💯 HF then, now and always. 💯
