How's life been for everyone? I haven't been active here for about 6-7 years and I'm considering coming back since I am nostalgic for the old days but I also understand that they will never come back. I initially joined in order to 'lrn2hack' (lmao). I learned how to use Havij, learned about shells and of course social engineering. Around the time I stopped participating here, I started working for HostGator where I became a "Linux Security Engineer" before they got bought out and I went to IBM Cloud (SoftLayer at the time). Working there, I learned all about network engineering, software engineering and general systems engineering during the 'cloud boom' when only Amazon and Google were major players. IBM bought SoftLayer and I got to witness the RAPID deployment of a cloud platform on top of the core SoftLayer API and was in awe at the efficiency of the development teams working on the projects. Then IBM bought RedHat and I got to work with some of the most technologically advanced people I've ever interacted with. After leaving IBM, I now work at Mimecast and get to answer a ton of noob questions regarding SMTP and social engineering to people who make much more than I do >: [

I doubt many people here are from my era, but how's yall's lives going?

I've had this username for a while now, but I was previously either known as "Kanoshen" or "Ryujin", pretty sure I used a few variations of the latter. I used to be a member of The Alliance but was never a moderator anywhere :P
