Random clients connecting on Quasar RAT - kornbread - Apr 27, 2022
I was working on my Quasar RAT last night and attempting to get it through Windows Defender. I put it into Virus Total and was met with three different connections that I have no knowledge of ever sending out to anyone. The names were stuff like, "AbbyPC" and "Work@abby" and simply just "george" and I got a bit spooked so I wiped the VM and closed the ports. Another user on this forum who has been helping me out explained this was likely some sort of honeypot. Any reasons as to why this may have happened?

VirusTotal is famous for sharing samples.
Use something like https://antiscan.me/
