Coinpayments Alternatives - Omniscient - Apr 28, 2022

Looks like Coinpayments has decided to boot HF. Glad I already run a BTCpay server elsewhere. I have 30 days to find and implement a payment method for alt-coins.

I know with BTCpay I can do XMR and LTC which are very popular. But I'd also like to be able to accept ETH and ERC-20 token payments. Actually a decent amount of users pay with BNB too.

Anyone have suggestion? Most likely gonna go with BTCpay and just limit payments to BTC, LTC, and XMR.

BTCpay has a Doge option too, but not sure that will be popular.

Why not use Sellix whitelabel API? Another big cracking forum which I dunno if I can mention uses it for all on-site purchases.

https://developers.sellix.io/

Based on personal experience as well, it works flawlessly.

I feel like self-hosted options are better. I don't fully trust Sellix.io. I've seen too many of these types of companies get shut down or sold (then ToS changes).

I had a long run with CP at least. I have a month to deal with it, far as I know current CP still taking payment.

Fair enough. If it's of any reassurance, they are a registered company in Italy and knowing the two owners, they will not be shutting down or selling.

If you decide to give it a try let me know and I can get you in touch with one of the owners!

Unless they changed the team, it was actually initially owned and ran by that competing forum team, so not the best option for HF.

That was all a rumour and can confirm it's 100% false. The owner of that competing forum knows the owner of Sellix because they were looking for a payment processor and ended up working out an agreement with them, however, they have no affiliation with the forum and don't even have their own accounts on there.

Source: I work at Sellix part-time.

Owners don't plan on being shut down.

Then there is that. Even if it's not true, I don't really trust Sellix is going to be around long-term.

LTC and XMR are essential for me personally. Wouldn't bother with Doge like you said. Have you checked Blockonomics?

Also this looks decent too https://coinspaid.com/

Apparently support for ETH was added a while ago. Are you not able to use it?

Edit: oh my bad they removed the support for it because it sucked

Yeah, I may need to run a separate solution just for ETH and ERC-20's. I already run 3 payment solutions now.

I think going with BTCpay server and using it for BTC, LTC, and XMR makes the most sense for now.

Barely anyone pays with ETH anymore because of high fees.

Blockonomics btw only support BTC and BCH. So that's useless to me.

https://coinspaid.com looks to be in UK. More regulation there than USA. Doubtful that they'll even allow me to join.

I can confirm BTCpay as main option to process payments. Recently I moved from Sellix to BTCpay, after seeing that 92.4% of all crypto payments I receive are either paid with BTC or LTC. So far I'm very satisfied with the results: I feel more independent and I also saved a lot on Sellix processing fees.

Let me add, they will not be shutting down or selling but they're turning into a legitimate company because of their increasing income volume and are enforcing new ToS. If their newly formed risk department deem that you're dealing with not completely clean stuff that may represent a risk for them, they'll shut down your store after sending you a 1 week notice.

Create a feature request on the BTCpay repository for the coins you want with a $ bounty to encourage competent developers.
If all goes well, it will help the project and help crypto payment become less consolidated.

EDIT: Don't know if this will be implemented within a month though...

Would likely only take me a few hours to upgrade my BTCpay server to include LTC and XMR. But looking hard at BitcartCC too.

I have a few weeks so I'll find time to install a test deployment on a VPS (got 3-4 of them sitting around). If I like the code and it seems easy then boom, gonna use it because it has ETH too. No XMR support but I can realistically upgrade my BTCpay server, use it for XMR, LTC, and BTC. Then use bitcartCC for BNB,ETH and BCH.

I'm okay actually running a dual solution since it gives me a level of redundancy.

Sellix employs a lawyer who dictates what Sellix would get in shit for allowing on the platform. HF would never be terminated for violating terms of service as the forum itself doesn't do anything illegal. It's more for people selling obviously cracked accounts/ccs/bank logs etc which we take down. Anything not super illegal we actually try giving warnings first and just take down the individual product.

Nonetheless, Omni already made it fairly clear Sellix is not something he's interested in.

That's what Coinpayments told me years ago too.

Really I just need zero reliance on 3rd party services. That's always been the case for HF.
