DCI thread for Upgraded Only - Omniscient - Apr 28, 2022
The Daily Check-In thread which awarded 25 Bytes to members who posted daily in that thread is now restricted to upgraded accounts only. There has been abuse and farming of Bytes and the policy change ends that.

This will help prevent byte farming.
I feel bad for honest regular members though. I would've suggested adding a prestige limit if it was still a thing...
But farmers would have still tried to circumvent it.

Yes, about 700+ accounts. They would post daily into DCI, then after a week or so push the bytes to another account. Then that consolidated account sold the Bytes in bulk.

About the past 30 days it looks like. Actually ended up being less than 300 accounts. All taken care of now.

About 90 mins total.
The crazy thing is the heavy amount of IP's used on all the accounts. They don't look like TOR either. I think private socks. Most of the accounts would log in daily from a new IP.

Any crossover or all unique? Sounds like someone actually spent some time botting the bytes collection half decently. Or atleast gave it a bit of thought.
Nice find, and hopefully this helps the bytes system regain some of the credibility it lost after the hum exploited.
