How do you know there aren't really smart/advanced/evolved/powerful aliens that see things different to us and want all life to end?

I don't. If I did, I'd say yes, wouldn't I? You asked for opinions, so I gave mine. There might be aliens that want to put Barry White records on a loop for eternity and make sweet love to every planet in the universe for all I know, but I doubt it.
