What stocks are you buying this crash? - nelz - May 12, 2022

Like the crypto market stocks are tumbling. For those of you that invest in stocks what are you buying right now? Any recommendations?

Brought some IYW eft so far, going to try and pick up some Disney if it goes under $100 and Dutch Bros if it goes under $30.

Puts/Calls would be your best bets as of current market, IMO.

Never heard of this before, what makes you so bullish on it?

The market will continue to fall so I would stack up on long-term companies such as Tesla, FB, ETF's, etc.

It's not a sale. Their earnings significantly dropped this past quarter; revenue dropped by more than 50% and the EPS was negative. The loss was much than expected. Coinbase earnings drop when the markets go bear, and I would expect their revenues to continue to perform poorly during the next quarter(s) as well.

I bought PCG (PG&E) awhile back. I sold it yesterday, but it is still a good buy/hold IMHO. It's the electrical company out in California; bought it because people will always need power. They took a massive hit (even filed for bankruptcy) and have bad public relations due to fires that caused deaths. However, they may be climbing out of the death bed.

On the the opposite side of the USA, you have Dominion Power. The EPS is indeed high, but the price has been stable forever and has an OK dividend. There is an absurd amount of data centers being built out on the east coast for public and private business. AWS is expanding rapidly into the region: they are constantly building data centers, and even built their 2nd headquarters in Virginia too. There is no doubt that the amount of power required will continue to increase within the region. This is one of the first stocks I ever bought, and have never sold it. It's a good safe haven for your money.

Personally been buying into Verizon and Uber. Verizon is a reputable company and is also great dividend stock. I believe they will get much more competitive within 5G, bringing them more revenue in. After the covid vaccine came out, Uber revenues have been increasing (look at each quarter for the past year), and I believe the trend will continue. Unfortunately Uber does not pay a dividend. They also reported a massive loss in this past quarter, but I am confident that the price will recover over time.

I been eyeballing facebook, but I am not ready to pull the trigger on buying more based on this past quarter. Not entirely confident in the company as a whole at the moment, but I am not ruling them out yet. I also recently bought a tad bit of dominos; I am considering purchasing more in the upcoming months.

It's so damn clear what the future is going to be like in 10-20 years. simple really..
So invest in that. Choose 3-4 stocks that will give you dividends and reinvest that over 10 years

I myself have chosen 5 stocks with dividends. So I get a payout every month and I have another 10 stocks purely on. Bio tech, Electric cars. rockets. AI, and so on. Stuff like that
