Beginner question about Rats - Pharos - May 31, 2022
So I've look around rats and I have few questions :
Is it really possible to hide the .exe in a pdf / world / png that is looking like one
With the few knowledge I have I managed to bind a .exe with a png and the .ico
So the file look like a png, when u opens it u see a png, but the file name is still "pictures.exe"
Is there a way to get rigged of the extention name ? I'm guessing no
But then how do ppl achieve to trick victims with it ?
Do they just don't bind with a png and only do it with a .exe ?
At first I thought ppl doing spear fishing by mail were using rats, but if the attached files is "pictures.exe" there's no way ppl will opens it
Am i missing something ?

u can use a extension spoofer, and some people jut have show extensions off thats why that works in first place

Guy above me most likely scamming, you can use extension spoofer but it’s essentially the same thing as your talking about already doing

RAT is acronym for Remote Administration Tool/Trojan. Its basically a malware(computer virus in laymens terms) which allows you to remotely control infected device.
