Accessing my old Email? - oRequiem - Jun 7, 2022

Not sure if this is the correct sub forum, but I haven't touch one of my alternative gmail accounts in years.
I know the password and email to it, but somehow I completely forgot what the recovery email is.

Main reason I forgot because I use separate emails for every single account I own like games, websites, youtube, twitch, etc.
Anyone have an idea on what I could do to re-access my old gmail account if I can't remember my recovery email to it?

I haven't recovered a Gmail account in some time, so their setup could have changed. If I recall correctly, during the recovery process it partially exposes part of the recovery email in order to indicate which one you might have used. Ex: ****[email protected]. Have you look into this at all?

As mutate said. Otherwise you need to call the support, but they will be asking you tons of stupid questions, last email you sent and shit, you won't be able to answer, since you never sent email or just don't remember, because it's old and they won't help you at all

Kinda weird since I remember the password clearly and the old password.
Just not the recovery email, I can't remember that at all. I didn't even think I put one at the time.

And google is asking you for it, even that the password is working?

Yeah, the password is correct, but is requesting a code from the recovery email.

Call the support. They are useless. So forget about it

They usually are useless, but I guess we'll see since I know the password and previous password to it.

Two things you may want to consider if you haven't already. When attempting to log in to your account from a network you've never used before, that alone may set flag on their end and henceforth they'll ask for a code just as a precaution. Also, if you're using a new device, said device will certainly have a new user-agent. This is another reason for Google to flag your account. Both in combination will 100% trigger this event. Its happened to me on multiple occasions. So if this is the case and you have the ability, return to the original device and network. You may be able to bypass this and once in your account you can alter the settings.

I'm just afraid to setup my old trash pc just for it to possibly not work.
Even then, just the chance of that working is extremely low.

Assuming your old PC is still operational:
>log into your old PC
>open the web browser you normally use
>Google: "what is my user agent"
>copy it

>boot into your newer machine
>open your browsers config file
>replace its user-agent with your old one

>connect to your usual network you've used your account on in the past

and you may be able to get in. Hard to say. These systems aren't always logical in the way they lock you out of your account.
