If you recovered your account using the seed, you may need to migrate your wallet to a new account.

Operating online wallets via browser extensions have always been a very insecure way of storing funds. Always use a hardware wallet.

Here's the best TIP:

1. If you use BTC for daily purchase, use Mobile wallets. (Do not hold more than $100 bucks here)

2. Use hardware wallet (or best, paper wallet) to store 99% of your funds. Take it as a long term investment.

I consider mobile wallets less secure and browser based wallets very insecure. I prefer a straight up wallet application like Electrum. Which btw, you can still do mobile wallet from the seed if needed.

I have a main cold storage/ledger wallet for all my money and move funds in and out of my browser wallet for NFT trading convenience.

Any reports of people getting rekt?

So how secure is it a wallet like Exodus from this?

RE: Vulnerability found in browser based wallets - ep1capple - Jun 20, 2022

Browser extension wallets are only useful for when you're a frequent dex trader or nft trader, they're not meant for long term storage.

Exodus is a desktop wallet, it isn't affected by what this thread is discussing.

To import wallet from seed, I login to 'Blockchain' wallet from browser.
Then,
specifically use 'Blockchain' mobile wallet to spend coins from it.

The best part about 'Blockchain' mobile wallet is, it has 2FA (even when I login from browser, it asks me to authenticate from my mobile wallet. Unless 'approved' it won't let me login/access my account)

Any specific reason of why would you consider mobile wallets less secure? (Just curious)
