You say PTC sites are a waste of time but then advertise a site that probably pays you just as much except you're solving captchas instead of watching ads.

According to the 2captcha site, it pays $0.38 for 1000 "normal" captchas and $1.01 for 1000 JS/recaptchas, so $0.00038/normal and $0.00101/recaptcha.
They give the approximate average normal solve time as 10 seconds and the average recaptcha solve time as 20 seconds. I'm not sure if this accounts for failures, but I'll assume it does. Some of their self-reported statistics are inconsistent; there are different numbers depending on which page you're on. I'll be using the stats given by the front page.
Normal captchas are 10 seconds/solve which equates to 360 solves/hour, which at $0.00038/solve would yield approximately $0.137/hour.
Recaptchas are 20 seconds/solve which equates to 180 solves/hour, which at $0.00101/solve would yield approximately $0.182/hour.
It would take you roughly 2-4 hours of constant work to reach the minimum payout threshold of $0.50. If you fail too many captchas then you get banned, presumably losing your hard earned money as well.
Additionally, these estimates assume that you take no breaks and solve every captcha successfully. They are only rough estimates, but if we also include the fact that no one is going to be sitting there solving captchas for hours on end, you'll end up making pennies and wasting your time just as much as if you were on a PTC site. You would make more money picking coins off the street.
