Rooting phone for changing sandisk firmware - Terry Thompson - Jul 4, 2022

I have a LG phoenix 5 phone that I use daily but it does not have a removable bootloader so I can't get full root to change the firmware on a bop sandisk clip sport mp3 player that has the security on it... But I do have a soyes XS 11 mini smartphone that just stopped getting service because it is only capable of 3g and at&t just stopped 3g ...    I believe it is rootable and I could root it to connect with the mp3's via a otg cable to flash the firmware.  If anybody has any input whether this will work or not please tell me.  It is running android 6.0. And the kernel is 3.18.19.    And the build #A28C_T8_20210324

Not sure how your pushing the firmware update to the player. But I am trying an non conventional way using Linux on a phone.
