You best believe if the jail had it I'd be reading Lord of the Flies by infamous story teller William Golding!

When getting incarcerated I looked forward to touching up on my Arabic and Russian. I am thankful the American system lets you get books. You need to hear the language also but getting the written grammar down helps a lot. I picked up Spanish easy because there are so many friendly Spanish speakers in the system.

Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit- an extremely difficult text to comprehend and one can easily take an hour just to attempt to comprehend two pages. Plus you can again re-read it and still find things that have eluded you.

The Count of Monte Cristo- 1276 pages and an extremely well-rounded classic read, great story, and timeless.

I for one support you going to jail if it means you finally read this version of it.
