VeraCrypt Encrypted USB Flash Drive - Aera - Sep 14, 2022
I have a USB encrypted drive (AES? + SHA-512?) containing valuable information and unfortunately for me I forgot the password.
The password consists of 12 to 14 characters with a mix of symbols, letters and numbers. What is the fastest way to go about?

fastest way would probably be to stop thinking about it and beat yourself over it.
if that information would have been that valuable you should have at least 2 backups.

use this guide to get the hash: https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=frequently_asked_questions#how_do_i_extract_the_hashes_from_truecrypt_volumes
When you have the hash, try cracking it with hashcat or post it in the Hash Bounties section for cracking, small chance of it getting cracked.

Did you make a backup disk? lol ik it sounds dumb but sometimes I forget where i save them.
but as said above put a hash bounty on them would be your best bet...
not too sure tho man.
