Moving threads to the correct section while in the process of making a thread? - Kriptik - Sep 28, 2022

Hi guys,

I noticed something the other day I was about to post a thread in the Beginner hacking section when I realize my question would have been more appropriate to ask in a different section, but since I had written a long text and I was kind of lazy to copy paste and move to the correct section I just quit.

So I thought it would be a good suggestion to add a drop down list with all sections listed so if you change your mind during the creation of a thread you could easily post your thread in the correct section without having to copy paste anything with just a few clicks of your mouse.

I don't know if this is a good suggestion or if it could easily be implemented, but I give it a shot here.

Is pressing CTRL+A, CTRL+C and then CTRL+V really that much work?

Don't be lazy, its not hard to open a new tab and find the right section. It takes less than 30 seconds to do so.

I believe it's not so much work, but sometimes you don't feel like doing something as simple as that.

And I know this is not a good enough reason to implement something like that, but I thought I'm going to suggest it anyway maybe someone would like the idea because why not? If we can simplify things I think it's worth suggesting...

Have you ever used the Quick Thread feature? It's on all pages top right corner.

I actually haven't noticed it tbh, I guess that is because the button kind of blends in with the background. I like it though, thanks for pointing it out :)
