Long Term Dividend Investing - Omniscient - Oct 4, 2022

I'm going through my IRA investment. Gonna make some changes and move away from the financial sector. I'm looking a bit at REIT's and I also like dividend stocks.

Most of what's in my IRA's I have had for 5-10 years. But it's time to move away from banks before the sector bellies up worse than 2008.

That's a big maybe. Paramount with 5% yield and a really low P/E and movies and entertainment poised for a comeback.

Never heard of REIT's before. I'm going to look into them. Do you guys have any suggestions of good REIT's to look at?

Please look at "PG" it pays amazing dividends. I have this in my personal Roth IRA.

REITs are basically real estate grouped holdings that earn through rents or resale. They usually have great dividends. I've held REIT's in my portfolio, usually do well.

Ahh yes. It's on my buy list. Currently at $150. I think there's a chance it hits $115-$120 in the coming months? I'm going to load up if so. Do you think it could go that low or am I dreaming? 😂

P&G good company with 26 P/E which is solid. 2.4% dividend is reasonable but given interest rates something closer to 5% would be better. Just not sure where the growth is going to come from for P&G. It's a mostly flat 3 year chart. I consider it a safe and long-term play but I prefer holding something like Deere (18 P/E) and construction and farming continues to be a winner.

Deere & CAT was absolutely insane last year!

I've held both for about 3 years. :)

I tend to do okay with my stock picks. I look for blue chips, dividends, and solid companies. P&G is along those lines but I want more dividend than what they offer and their P/E is too high for my liking.

I took a beating CRM, VTI, SPY, DIS, WFC & the worst one AAPL. P&G is the only positive.

Dividend Yield: 5.62%, that's decent imo

You bought DIS, lol. But I got some Vanguard shit too. Wells Fargo is a shit bank. Go for JPM or if you want COF. Although I worry COF is gonna take a big hit if the car loan market tanks. They hold a lot of paper on that. So stay away maybe from banks and financials right now. I'd say energy and food production, these are two vital sectors for the next decade imho.

To be honest, Tesla is a grab. Growth company that's been punished for political reasons, not because of fundamentals. Also Ford, making EV's and P/E is 5. When supply returns I think that Ford can pop 300-500%. Ford has a dividend too.

Hm..just convinced myself to grab a buttload of Ford.
