2022 has been a rough year. Depressed. - Angela White - Oct 17, 2022

Just a rant, 2022 has been a horrific year.

I got sued by a client trying to get free work out of me for $10,000 in January; which I won the lawsuit and kept the money, but it was still a whole 4-month ordeal because he was suing me from another state and was using that as an intimidation tactic that even if I won, I'd still pay a shit ton in travel fees to make it to court.

I got diagnosed with a rare form of skin cancer in March, and I just finished with it and am all good now after all this time of stressing out and surgeries. I met this amazing girl who helped me through the entire process and even held my hand during my 10-hour long surgery that I had to stay awake and undrugged for as they cut me open over a foot deep into my flesh / tissue and had to watch them do it.

I had a $15,000 project for a law firm and ended up blowing off the entire project because I didn't have the mental willpower to complete the project. I was so mentally distressed that I did absolutely 0 work for 4 - 5 months and lost most of my clients because I completely ghosted them. I went from making $6,000 - $10,000 a month to ~$2,000 - $4,500. On top of that, I had to pay thousands of dollars in medical expenses.

I was basically bedridden for around 12 weeks total and had to take it easy for around 20 weeks and went from around 150 pounds to around 185.

I was with the girl for 9 or so months and she turned batshit crazy. She started smacking me around, telling me she didn't like me that much, wouldn't say "I love you" unless I said it multiple times first. Calling me pathetic for not being sexually active during my cancer surgeries and would always start major fights with me about small shit like me making a joke about anime being cringe before I would watch an episode with her. Would go to raves without me and wouldn't come home that night, and get mad at me for being upset about it, etc. She was also against me buying a car after I sold mine when I moved back to this state. She wanted to be in complete control and take me everywhere and would always make comments like "Why do you need a car? You work from home and never leave the house anyways, I'll just take you wherever you need to go. You don't even need to use Uber, those are too expensive, I'll take you". She would also smack me and tell her to get the fuck away from her if I tried cuddling her at night most nights.

I broke up with her the other day because she was making me miserable and was lowkey physically and mentally abusive, and now she's telling all her friends and family that I'm toxic and abusive and that I "raped" her and came by my house and told me she was going to tell my whole family that I'm a rapist if I don't do everything she says. My family already knows about all the drama and wants her out of my life, but it still sucks. I grew really attached going through the hardest time of my life and she was there with me every step of the way, and now it feels like she's my enemy.

I also found out that I'm autistic this year as well.

Great year.

Holy fuck. What a year you've had. How exactly did they cut a foot deep into you? There are not any soft tissue layers that deep on the body, let alone from skin cancer. Do you mean like a foot-long incision that was performed? I'd hate to have that happen while awake, that sounds like a nightmare on earth. I am so sorry.

It was about a foot deep, it was in my pubic area and went all the way down my bone and muscle. The incision itself goes completely across my pubic area almost into my legs, that's about a foot long in itself. I now have a baseball-sized indentation / hole near my pubic area with a massive ugly scar running across.

RE: 2022 has been a rough year. - jcole - Oct 17, 2022

That's a really tough situation to be in. I had a heat stroke in May and was comatose for 5 days and stayed in the ICU for two weeks. I recently tore multiple ligaments in my knee and had to have reconstructive surgery on the fourth of this month and have been doing physical therapy rarely able to get out of bed with the help or assistance from others. It is depressing, not being able to work, not being able to correctly socialize with people around you, and feeling helpless or vulnerable. It's nice to know you managed to get through all the pain of having skin cancer and overcoming that obstacle. It's tough to break free from a toxic relationship especially when that person has been there for you through your tough times, but you have to stay positive and do your best to maneuver away from that situation. If things are as bad as you have said then they can only get worse overtime. Try not to stress about the weight gain because it seems to be a normal thing when we can't exercise normally and I myself even gained more weight than ever in my life being bed ridden and recovering from traumatic events that have happened this year. 2022 has been tough, but stay positive and plan to have a better outcome for next year. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings. I hope everything gets better for you.

That sounds like a terrible thing to go through. The scar may not look the best, but that scar helped return your life to you. That is something to be thankful for.

As far as the ex, I'd stay as far away from her as you can. Bitches like that are no joke.

I appreciate it. I don't have any irl friends so I just thought I'd rant here. It's easier to talk about my issues with strangers on the internet than it is to look my family in the eyes.

I understand that. What else are thousands of strangers for? Let it all out.

Unfortunately I know a couple girls who acted like that ,

Since 2022 is wrapping up I’m hoping you pull through strong in 2023 man..

Good luck with finding new clients, and I hope you destroy that rare cancer

RE: 2022 has been a rough year. Depressed. - Prettykitty - Oct 17, 2022

That really sucks. I've been through rough years too, I can relate. People behave in such strange ways; I wish you could've had a better time. Let's move forward and make new experiences.

I appreciate the love. It's making me feel a bit better having a place to rant.
