My wife and I do Halloween right, every year my wife adds more and more to her decorations. We've done this since buying the house. First decoration we purchased was an evil fire breathing dragon (blow-up). It's survived 5 long years, it was starting to show age but we didn't retire it because the little kids who trick or treat love them. Last night we handed out over $500 in candy. Then around 10pm-3am kids going house to house in cars. Jumped out and cut the blow ups on our property and on our neighbors, smashed pumpkins and spray painted homes.
Lucky for us only the decorations were destroyed. However this was $800 in accumulated decorations that we will now have to replace. Piece by Piece, Halloween is my wife's all time favorite holiday. She is so upset that she wants to halt handing out candy anymore.
I've put the word out to local news stations. I'm planning on putting a $1,000 bounty out for their Arrest. No questions asked.
I'm obviously an adult now, so I can't if I wanted to but if I was still a teen myself. Christ, these kids would be walking with limps for the rest of their natural lives.
This is insanely frustrating and it breaks my Wife's heart. Thus it makes me hurt because I don't like seeing her unhappy.

Because parents make kids all feel like winners, do not discipline them or beat their asses anymore.

That True, me being young (I still am haha). If I did something stupid or went the wrong way I would get hit xD.
Times are changing, with social networks society accepts more and more things that should be commonplace, I see college students smoking at 13 years old wtf ?.

Halloween is full of amazing creative people and on the flip side full of despicable assholes. I've been seeing and reading these stories all day and it's just disgusting. You have parents stealing candy and you have kids damaging decorations and properties.

Honestly at the end of the day, we need to go back to corporal discipline, did it lead to trauma? Yes but the soft handed approach isn't doing anything at all. Before a more corporal approach at least corrected the behavior over 85% of the time.
Now we have a 100% failure and breakdown with the kid gloves.
I'm sorry but there is a clear cut path of evidence that discipline yields results.
If my kids did this, They've lost the car, phone, computer, tablet. They are locked in their bedroom with a bed and that's it.
No friends, No company. You are expected to be home 25 minutes after school ends since you can take the bus.
If you are not, you will extend your punishment. It will be lifted when I see evidence that you've learned your lesson. They would also have tanned hides.
They don't like it? Cool go to court and get emancipated. I'm required to give you food, clothes, shower, warmth and an education. I owe you nothing else, if you don't respect me as your parent or others as people. You will get the bare minimum.

Yeah right, sad that more parents don't care to discipline their kids anymore.
Parents should discipline their kids at early age so when they grow up they will be having great values and well mannered individuals.

Well our world is going to hell, it's 100% the parents and the democrats fault.
We can't discipline anyone because it's child abuse, however when my parents were kids they got beat black and blue and bloody.
That obviously is too much, however when I was a kid. We were punished, Spanked, Slapped, Mouth Washed out with soap. Publicy shamed if we acted out in public etc.

Sad to hear that brother that you can't do anything about that law.
Here in our country there's a child abuse law but as a parent, we are allowed to discipline our kids in the right way.

$500 US in candy??? Is that what it's like in the USA now. Fkme OMG! And then you get the worse trick despite GIVING the candy? I mean those aren't children they are teens right? And everyone knows teens fucking suck. Sorry this happened to you.
