Rumors of HF Shutdown - Omniscient - Nov 22, 2022
There is a screenshot of me posting in Convo that I said something like "Maybe I should just close HF down on Jan 1st" or something like that. Yes, I did say that. No, I am not closing HF down. I been in a dark mood lately and I'm just venting a bit in Convo. I don't appreciate that screenshot being spread around but I suppose that's my own fault for even saying it.
So to clear things up, I am not shutting HF, you can still buy stickies, and bleh bleh.
HF is going through changes, they are rough and some are drastic. I been running this site for 15 years. Every now and then I'm gonna have a weak moment.
My guess, in 5 more years you can dig up this post as an example of one of my bad mood moments.
Anyways, work to get done but people keep asking me if HF is closing. No, we're not. Screenshot that.

Well, it was a bit misleading. People like their drama too much though. I was being dramatic last night. So I do take responsibility for that.

And years before that I deleted our points system entirely too. HF is full of drastic moments where changes are brought in fast and furious. It mostly catches the community off-guard. Things tend to brew with me and then bam, I make a decision and go with it. There is no committee that makes decisions on HF. Just me trying my best.

Believe me I know the feeling. I run a somewhat popular gaming forum with a few friends and every now and again one of us makes a drastic decision or statement over our forum like you sometimes do here. We are all human man. You look at the old days, the old activity and always wonder why shit changed. Sometimes you just have no control over it though. Something you always gotta keep in mind.

Never doubted Omni, the great. No matter the changes, HF will always be HF. Forget old or new, HF is HF. HF will always continue onward.
