Buying Signature Spaces as Non-Ub3r - Oxidation - Dec 3, 2022
I was looking at signature market and I noticed that you cannot buy signature spaces unless you are an ub3r.
I am wondering if this is set intentionally? Because... un-upgraded members can purchase signature space via other sections of the forums without using the automated feature.
Also, I read somewhere that "You must be an upgraded member to sell signature spaces". This makes sense... it gives Ub3rs an additional opportunity to make some bytes. But... they shouldn't only be allowed to sell to other Ub3rs, right? Vendors can purchase ads all throughout the site but cannot participate in the automated signature market as an advertiser/buyer?
Just thinking that maybe the permissions are set wrong... or not.

Although, doesn't mention anything about buying. Wouldn't it be more beneficial for ub3r members if they were able to sell their signatures to any other usergroup?

If not all, I think Vendors should be able to purchase sigs. Can be a cool addition.

This seems pretty reasonable. Then again, Vendors could also just buy ub3r. Doesn't take many sales to get it.

I wouldn't back allowing standard users to do this, but lowering the threshold to L33t/Vendors or something like that would be something I could absolutely get behind.

Why not regular users? There's no chance of scamming since the currency is HF Bytes and they pay beforehand. And whatever they put in your signature needs to comply with the rules. Can't lose.

Maybe it’s an incentive for upgraded users. Also what stops them from using those signature spaces for malicious purposes?

Essentially this is my reasoning, primarily that it would help prevent malicious misuse.

The same thing that stops them from creating malicious posts or taking malicious actions anywhere else on the site.
Except, I feel like their malicious actions would be caught quicker via. an active upgraded member's signature, as it would get more exposure than them targetting one of the more 'noobie-active' sections of the forums.
Maybe it already exists... but perhaps there could be some sort of xx-small or x-small italic font somewhere on purchased signatures like

I actually think the ability to sell your sig should remain Ub3r.
I looked at the code. Literally a typo (bug) from our last developer that prevented all groups from buying sigs.
Fixed now so that L33t, Ub3r, and non-upgraded members can buy Sigs in the market.
