How to Multi Quote on Mobile? - Jinu - Dec 21, 2022

Hello, guys.

This may seem a noob question but I couldn’t figure it out on my mobile. On PC I don’t have any problem. But on mobile, it is difficult to find out. Moreover, I have a smaller display iPhone.

Could someone make a quick walkthrough?

Press Multiquote on every response you want
Press New Reply at the bottom

Should have your quotes ready to go.

Hit the multi-quote button on each post you want and then click reply- They should all be merged together when your page loads to the reply section.

edit- oops lol @Komodo@ got to it first

I was confused at first that whenever I select the second post’s multi quote, first one’s multi-quote disappeared.
When I click the “New Reply” it worked.

With this I learned another way to multi-quote. In the text box bottom, it appears: “quote these selected posts” or Deselect them. I don't know whether it's a default one or the HFX Mobile thing.

It's default, I use it all the time on mobile.

Sometimes it glitches and won't deselect the quote and you end up quoting the person 100 times everytime you post.
Have to deselect it.

Yes, it remembers or keeps it in the clipboard of the old thread’s quote too. Whenever we quote we should check if we quote the correct one.

99% of the time it automatically deselect the quote after you reply to it.
Just that 1% of the time it keeps it forever until deselected.

I tried with this thread. It started quoting all my old quotes which I accidentally clicked. But now I am clear on how to handle this. Thanks for the guide.

There is text when you do multi quote to clear them all.

You must try it out. It's handy and loaded with many useful features. I recommend [mention=1306528] add a character count to the HFX Mobile’s next update.

I think the Xadamxk HFUI has a multi quote feature, it's a preetty cool addition for mobile device users like myself.

The mobile feature is a “mention” button that just inserts a snippet to mention the user.

oh I always thought the button was a feature of your user script, but still anyone who browses HF should be using your userscript anyays :P
