Open Source Projects Library - Bear - May 11, 2023

I am a big fan of open source projects that help people solve painful problems.

So I’d love for us to share some open source projects that we’d like the community to know about.

Let’s maintain this thread as a library of all awesome open source projects.

Thanks!

Audacity has been great for editing audio files. It looks old school etc but gets the job done with ease.

Checkout https://beautifulopen.com for good looking projects

Probably the best lists of opensource projects ever

KYC? Not me!
https://kycnot.me/services
Not focused on open source projects but on privacy related services. Many of the services are opensource though.
There's also a list of Exchanges to be found.

Starting using this nice tool.

https://winmerge.org/

Quote:WinMerge is an Open Source differencing and merging tool for Windows. WinMerge can compare both folders and files, presenting differences in a visual text format that is easy to understand and handle.

It's on Github too.

https://github.com/mendel5/alternative-front-ends

This one I have starred and bookmarked, pretty cool if you ask me.
but generally, I suggest you check Github > Explore > Trending couple of times a week.

I usually find a lot of good stuff in those (one library I found from there later blew up and I'm glad I started using it when I did)

I have quite a bit of stuff that I have starred that I use quite often. I won't really elaborate on them much, as I'm sure the programmers here will no doubt just go and look for themselves.
